Ever since I was a young kid, I’ve loved chocolate sauce! But, often times the store bought ones are not very healthy. So, here is a great alternative that is sweet even without added sugar and is perfect for ice-cream or even smoothie bowls! It takes only 1 minute to make.


Ingredients:
5 pitted medjool dates
1 dl oat milk
1 tbsp cacao powder


Instructions:
1. Put all ingredients in a bowl and blend with a stick blender. Add more or less oat milk for your preferred texture.

    Hi, is dl deciliter? I try to convert and it’s 0.42 cups. How do you measure 0.42 cups? Thanks . Janet

      Yes, it’s deciliter. I would say use 1/2 a cup and add one more date and cacao powder after taste. 🙂

    Hi Melissa, can I use a high speed blende instead of the stick blender? Also, did you used a blender or the food processor to make yours? Thanks. I’m in the process of making the ice cream!

    Oh if you meant the for the ice cream, I used a food processor to make the ice cream 🙂
